Hans Uhlig, Founder and CEO

Hans is Polygon Entertainment’s founder and CEO.  He is responsible for all aspects of the business, from development to production.  Hans brings over 20 years of industry experience to Polygon.  His work ranges from blockbuster films to directing and producing independent films, shorts, animated features, commercials, and music videos. Hans served as Computer Graphics Supervisor on six feature films that received ACADEMY AWARD® nominations for “Best Visual Effects.”


Hans was a Computer Graphics Supervisor at Industrial Light & Magic (“ILM”) from 1997 to 2003, where his feature computer graphics work included Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983 special DVD edition), Star Wars: Episode V- The Empire Strikes Back (1980 special DVD edition), Speed 2: Cruise Control (1997), Deep Impact (1998), The Haunting (1999), The Majestic (2001), The Perfect Storm (2000), Dreamcatcher (2003), Signs (2002), Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (2003) and Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events (2004). Prior to ILM, Hans served as Computer Graphics Supervisor on both Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow and The Day After Tomorrow.


Hans is a graduate of Wilhelm Maybach University, School of Mechanical Engineering in Stuttgart, Germany.



Lisa Pearson, General Counsel and Vice President Business & Legal Affairs

Lisa is responsible for all legal matters at Polygon.  Prior to joining Polygon, Lisa was General Counsel at Decru, a venture-backed technology company. Lisa joined Decru as its 17th employee and managed all legal affairs throughout the company’s four-year growth, including contract negotiations, intellectual property portfolio management, litigation, human resources, equity issuances, risk management and general corporate governance. Lisa played a key role in negotiating the sale of the company to Network Appliance (Nasdaq: NTAP) for $272M in August 2005.


Before joining Decru, Lisa was a corporate attorney with Bingham McCutchen (formerly McCutchen, Doyle) where she represented early stage private companies and venture investors in a variety of corporate matters and technology transactions. Prior to that, Lisa practiced in the firm's litigation group, representing major corporations in complex commercial litigation matters, both domestically and overseas.


Lisa received her J.D. from Harvard Law School and a BA from UCLA.



David Dranitzke, Head of Production

David brings a wealth of live-action television, feature and post-production visual effects experience to the studio. His 20 years in the business span from the hit TV series Northern Exposure to Visual Effects Producer on such blockbuster films as The Matrix Revolutions, The Matrix Reloaded (2003), Pearl Harbor (2001) and Enchanted (2007).


David has worked at Fox, Warner Brothers, Industrial Light & Magic, The Orphanage, and Tippett Studio, with industry-leading directors including Steven Spielberg, Barry Sonnenfeld, Brian De Palma, Michael Bay, George Lucas, Rob Cohen and Henry Selick.


David is a graduate of Hampshire College. David is currently Chair of the Visual Effects Society of the San Francisco Bay Area.



Christopher Waters, Chief Financial Officer

As CFO, Chris runs the finance and accounting operations for Polygon and all of its affiliates.  His career in motion picture, television and post-production finance spans 20 years.  He has managed feature budgets up to $35 million and episodic budgets up to $2.2 million, maintaining all aspects of double-entry accounting and cost control, from accounts payable, accounts receivable, and ordering, to cash management and crew payroll.  He has overseen and filed six-and-seven-figure insurance claims, and payrolled crew under various collective bargaining agreements.


As a member of the feature estimating stables at Paramount Pictures and 20th Century Fox, Chris worked as a Production Accountant on features in many locations worldwide, managing budgets in multiple currencies, often at the same time.  He has worked on features in Australia, Thailand, Czech Republic, New Orleans, Chicago, Los Angeles, and various other locations.  In the San Francisco Bay Area, Chris worked at Industrial Light & Magic as a Production Accountant. Afterwards, he spent five seasons managing "episodic feature" budgets on the popular television show Nash Bridges.


Chris has a B.S. from the film school at Boston University.


Janine Goldberg, Director of Business Affairs

Janine is responsible for development, production, licensing and distribution deals for Polygon Entertainment and its affiliates.  She is also responsible for business development and investor relations.


Prior to joining Polygon, Janine was the head of business development at Canopy Healthcare, a start-up staffing company. She joined the company as the second employee and was instrumental in launching the business, bringing in large national contracts and helping develop the company’s growth strategy.  Prior to Canopy, Janine held a variety of sales and management roles in the medical device field.


Janine graduated with a triple B.A. from UCLA.
